- The weather is perfect all year round
I’m going to let you in on a little secret- the weather is perfect all year round. In fact, it’s so good that we’re not even sure what season this is! It’s got plenty of things to do no matter what time of year you visit. You could go snorkeling and see some turtles or relax on one of our beautiful beaches. There are also tons of outdoor activities like hiking up Diamond Head for an amazing view, or watching surfers ride waves at Waikiki Beach. Come visit soon!
- There’s plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy
“For those of you visiting Oahu, or considering a visit, I wanted to share some of the activities we did while we were there. It’s such an amazing place and really has something for everyone. We had so much fun exploring the island and spending time with our family.” “Some of my favorite family-friendly activities included hiking up Diamond Head Crater, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, driving around the North Shore (where you can see Turtle Beach from your car), eating shaved ice at Matsumoto Shave Ice on the East side of town (which is also home to one of Hawaii’s best Japanese restaurants) and going for a boat ride on Sunset Cruise Company.”
- Beautiful beaches and scenic views
What’s your favorite beach? Is it the one where you can see a beautiful view of Diamond Head from afar or is it more about what kind of sand you like best. For me, I love to find hidden gems with no crowds so I don’t have to fight for space on the beach chairs. My most recent discovery was at Kapolei Beach Park and let me tell you, this place has some serious potential! The beauty starts as soon as you turn into the parking lot and head towards the oceanfront entrance. There are palm trees lining both sides of walkway that lead straight to an amazing stretch of pristine white sand. If there were ever a destination where paradise meets reality then this would be it!
- You can explore ancient temples or hike up volcanoes
If you’re looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Oahu is the place to go. If you want to feel like a true local, get out there and explore Oahu with these tips!
Hike up one of the volcanoes in Honolulu for some gorgeous views. Koko Head Crater Trailhead has a 2 mile roundtrip hike that will take about two hours. There’s also Diamond Head which is 3 miles roundtrip and takes about three hours. You’ll be able to see all different types of plants along the way too!
- Get your fill of delicious, authentic Hawaiian food
The Hawaiian Islands are a tropical paradise, and the food is just as delicious. But with so many places to choose from, how do you know where to go for authentic Hawaiian cuisine? Well let me tell you, we have all of your bases covered! Whether it’s a plate lunch place that offers kalua pig or loco moco at breakfast time (because really who doesn’t want bacon wrapped spam with eggs?), or some fresh poke right off the boat, we’ll help you find the best spot on Oahu.
- Try surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving or kayaking
It’s a good idea to try out some of the most popular activities. Here are four great ways to do so: surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking. Surfing is one of the easiest ways to enjoy Hawaii’s beautiful coastline. Snorkeling allows you to get up close with sea life like turtles and fish without ever getting wet! Scuba diving lets you explore underwater caverns and coral reefs while kayaking gives you an amazing view from above water. So what are you waiting for? Take your pick!
